Radiant Imaging has pioneered key advances enabling practical application of CCD-based, imaging colorimeters, vastly improving measurement speed and cost-efficiency over non-CCD-based methods. Radiant's tools measure visual fields simultaneously and near-instantaneously, just as our eyes perceive them. This eliminates potential inaccuracies inherent in slow and costly sequential sampling methods, such as those using spot meters, which are prone to positioning difficulties and/or changes in the measured phenomena during data capture.

To make our colorimeters accurate and cost-effective, we had to overcome the aberrations and variances inherent in even the best commercial lenses and CCD sensor arrays. To do so, we have developed unrivaled capabilities in system calibration and compensation for electrical and optical sources of measurement error. As a result, our systems are more consistently accurate — both absolutely, and from unit to unit — than are many of their constituent components.

Along with providing standalone colorimeters, we integrate them in our patented, uniquely-capable imaging spheres for rapid measure angular distributions, FPD and large light source measurement systems, and in source-imaging goniometric systems that have become the de facto industry standard for light source characterization.

Radiant has equally advanced the state of colorimetry system software. ProMetric®, our powerful data acquisition and imaging processing software, simplifies measurement set-up and control and provides easy access to a broad range of image analysis functions. Built-in support for ActiveX controls allows experienced users to develop customized applications.

In addition, we offer a broad array of application-specific software tools for production testing of displays, display color balancing, LED screen correction and lighting strip measurement, keyboard and keypad analysis, OLED measurement, flat panel view angle performance measurement, and large light source luminous intensity distribution measurement. These tools provide built-in domain knowledge and measurement expertise, enabling non-expert users to swiftly produce trustworthy results.
