The PM-1600F series of imaging photometers and colorimeters are designed to meet the demanding requirements for measurements requiring both a very high dynamic range and a wide field of view. The CCDs used in the PM-1600F series are full-frame CCDs with 100% fill factor, making them ideally suited for resolving small features in illumination distributions, or on instrument panels, keypads, or displays (including LCDs, PDPs, OLEDs, and projection).

The PM-1600F Series use 16-bit (over 65,000 gray levels), thermoelectrically cooled and temperature stabilized, scientific grade CCDs for accuracy and repeatability. Several configurations are available. First, there are two different CCD pixel resolutions available: (a) the PM-1603F with a 512 × 512 pixel CCD, ideal for uniformity measurement; and (b) the PM1613F with a 1024 × 1024 pixel CCD, for higher resolution applications. For added versatility and measurement speed, the PM-1600 series CCDs can be operated at lower resolutions with electronically binned pixels.

Each of the PM-1600F Series models is offered in both a photometric and a colorimetric configuration. The former offers luminance measurement only and the second utilizes CIE matched color filters for measurement of both luminance and chromaticity, allowing CIE chromaticity coordinates and color temperature to be measured for every pixel in the image. A wide range of lenses are available, allowing the field of view and working distance to be tailored to the application. All F-Series cameras include motorized filter wheels, for both the CIE matched filters and a set of internal neutral density filters, and includes Radiant Imaging’s precision internal shutter.

The F-Series Imaging Photometers and Colorimeters carry a two year hardware warranty. They deliver functionality, performance, and reliability characteristics well matched for both demanding research and production environments. The F-Series models include numerous design improvements over earlier Radiant Imaging photometers and colorimeters to provide enhanced performance, improved reliability, and easier maintenance for their users.
